Description: Under direction of Area Product Coordinator, this position is responsible for propane cylinder and/or other product delivery to Blue Rhino distributor locations in an efficient, punctual, and safe manner. Minimum two years of experience with a Class A CDL, tanker and hazmat endorsements preferred.

Essential Functions:
  • Ensures the regional pickup and safe delivery of propane cylinders and/or other products as directed.
  • Maintains preventive maintenance program for transport truck and trailer.
  • Follows DOT requirements and company safe driver guidelines while performing duties.
  • Performs daily inspections as required by DOT and Ferrell North America to ensure that assigned equipment is in safe and compliant operating condition.
  • Ensures all required paperwork including certifications, logs, etc are completed and is in compliance with company and government regulations.
  • Adheres to all company safety policies and procedures.
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Possess a valid Class A CDL with hazmat and tanker endorsement preferred.
  • Hazmat endorsement, or be willing to obtain this endorsements.
  • Forklift experience preferred
  • Preferred two years tractor/trailer experience and/or combo 1yr experience after completion of truck driving school.
  • Demonstrated communications, interpersonal, and teamwork skills necessary to work safely and effectively with customers and Ferrellgas employees.
Working Conditions:
  • Physical ability to lift 40lbs in each hand repeatedly throughout the day, in all weather conditions, extreme hot or cold
  • Work and drive in all types of weather
  • May require overnight stay
  • Ability to work maximum hours allowed under DOT hours of service regulations
