Job Summary: Under general direction, this position performs analysis, design, programming, and support on a web application development team. This individual will be responsible for developing new software, making enhancements and fixes to existing code, producing technical documentation, and providing support to various web-based applications. Typically requires a bachelor's degree in computer science or related field and 2-3 years' experience. This position will primarily be responsible for enhancements and support of CMS based internal and external applications.

Essential Functions:
  • Writes technical specifications for new computer programs and changes to existing programs.
  • Codes new computer programs and changes to existing programs with minimal direction.
  • Executes unit and system tests to ensure quality and adherence to requirements.
  • Overall strong technical skills with the ability and desire to pick up new skills as needed.
  • Collaborates with other team members to solve problems.
  • Performs on-call duties on a set rotation.
  • Assists in maintaining and supporting existing information systems.
  • Participates in design meetings, review meetings, and other project team meetings and acts as business function reviewer for team members in reviews.
  • Ensures timely responses and resolution of issues
  • Assists with troubleshooting technical issues and identifying modifications needed in existing applications to meet changing user requirements.
  • Provides assistance and advice to business users in the effective use of applications and information technology.

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, business administration or another related field.
  • 2 to 3 years web development experience preferably on Microsoft's .Net stack using C#.
  • Preferred but not required, 1 to 2 years' experience with .Net based CMS framework (SharePoint, Umbraco, Kentico)
  • Solid understanding of MVC principles.
  • Deep knowledge of JavaScript and JavaScript frameworks.
  • Good understanding of CSS; experience with a CSS preprocessor preferred.
  • Solid understanding of relational database principles with proficiency in SQL.
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
