Job Summary: Under manager supervision the Maintenance Technician I is responsible for a wide range of daily duties including inspection, maintenance, and repair of facility equipment and systems and documentation of such tasks; all while maintaining safety, productivity and financial responsibility. Typically requires a high school diploma and one year electrical/automation experience in a manufacturing environment.

Essential Functions:
  • Monitors equipment for unusual sounds to detect malfunction.
  • Responsible for mechanical troubleshooting and repair.
  • Assists in maintaining spare parts inventory.
  • Dismantles defective equipment and installs new or repaired parts.
  • Conducts daily inspections & completes maintenance inspection logs.
  • Provides technical information and operational guidance to production employees.
  • Follows safety rules & procedures including OSHA standards and the Company Process Safety Management program.
  • Performs and records periodic testing.
  • Maintains a clear sense of priority and focus in support of team performance.
  • Identifies improvements in the processes equipment.
  • Assists leadership with problem resolution and correction of equipment deficiencies.
  • Constantly considers long term upgrades / repairs.
  • Additional task as assigned.

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Technical training / technical degree a plus.
  • 1-year maintenance / mechanical experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Basic knowledge of mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
  • Organized and detail oriented.
  • Bilingual a plus but not required.
  • Ability to work as a team.
  • Reliable and dependable.
  • Flexible (hours/shifts).
  • Mandatory overtime when necessary.
