Job Summary: The primary purpose of the General Manager is to lead the Service Center team in achieving financial success including year over year performance, improved customer retention, and growing the customer base. This individual acts as a business owner and inspires the team to grow the market share and customer base. Incumbent will manage the positions of Account Manager, Logistics Supervisor, District Manager, Operations Supervisor, and Customer Service Manager. This position typically requires a Bachelor's degree in a related field and/or 10 plus years of applicable experience in an operational setting.
Essential Functions:
  • Acts as a business owner. Sets an example and inspires team to embrace every new opportunity, defend the customer base and capture increased market share.
  • Strives to achieve DCF goals.
  • Drives growth by developing and implementing detailed marketing plans.
  • Drives sales and marketing initiatives.
  • Monitors and analyzes expense and operational metrics, for planning and performance.
  • Executes strategic performance planning and management.
  • Owns service quality, customer satisfaction and customer retention performance.
  • Fosters safety culture determines pricing for all market segments by monitoring and researching competitive market conditions
Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in operations or business management or related field.
  • Ten years of experience in an operations leadership role.
  • Customer service and sales experience.
  • Proven history of ethical business decision and integrity.
  • Exhibits excellent written and verbal communication skills with an emphasis on team building and developing a positive rapport with company employees at all levels as well as external constituents.
  • Demonstrated organizational skills.
  • Competitive urgency and initiative.
  • Demonstrate ability to raise the bar and exceed expectations in the work place.
  • Solid business acumen including leadership, understanding of P&L and people development.
  • Proficient Microsoft Office skills including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
