Job Summary: Safely and efficiently transport raw materials, finished goods, and other materials within the distribution yard.
Essential Functions:
  • Safely drive and maneuver a forklift around the yard to transport propane tanks.
  • Able to act as a switcher when and if required.
  • Complete and turn in log sheets, BOL's, packing slips and other paperwork as required
  • Document forklift inspection before shift start up for mechanical safety and compliance with OSHA regulations
  • Inform supervisor of vehicle maintenance needs - such as Preventive Maintenance & tire replacement.
  • Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor
  • A positive attitude and a sense of urgency
  • Load and unload materials to support production and shipping operations - as required and/or assigned
  • Perform other duties as assigned - including assisting production shifts with other staffing needs when not operating forklift
Experience:
  • High school education or GED
  • OSHA approved forklift certification is required
  • Must be at least 18 years of age to handle Hazmat Materials
  • Prior work experience in a light industrial environment would be a plus
  • Able to speak Spanish and/or English (preferable)
  • Able to read Spanish or English (preferable)
  • Able to write down numbers and record figures
