Job Description

SUMMARY:
The Equipment Hostler-Corporate Transport Driver is responsible for safely handling, inspecting, testing, and maneuvering tractors and trailers on the yard and between facilities.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform the essential duties satisfactorily; other duties may be assigned.
  • Shuttle Tractors and Trailers between locations.
  • Perform detailed inspections of equipment and documents items to be repaired
  • Test all systems on equipment before assignment
  • Capable of loading and unloading crude oil for testing
  • Inventory Yard Daily
  • Other duties as required and assigned
  • Special assignments or tasks assigned to the employee by their manager, as determined from time to time in their sole and complete discretion
EXPERIENCE:
One year driving experience with tanker and hazmat endorsement, crude oil experience a plus
EDUCATION LEVEL:
A minimum of high school diploma, GED, or equivalent is required.
REQUIRED SKILLS:
-Class A License, Hazmat Endorsement, Tanker Endorsement are required
-Basic knowledge of Microsoft products such as Excel, Word, and Outlook
-Ability to effectively communication with others, both written & verbal communication, as well as advanced understanding of computer use is required
-Basic reading and writing skills
-Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations
-Ability to load and unload Crude Oil, safely position equipment in tight areas, observes and operates under DOT hours of service. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
WORK CONDITIONS:
Field and shop based environment. Including but not limited to chemicals, pressure vessels, and tanks rotating equipment, dust, dirty odors, loud noises, electrical shock, and working in confined spaces. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Job conditions require standing, walking, sitting, twisting, stooping, crouching, kneeling, making visual inspections, making precise hand and finger movements, reaching or grasping, lifting and/or carrying up to 75lbs, pushing and/or pulling up to 75lbs, ability to operate and drive all assigned company vehicles at company standard insurance rates, valid state driver's license and proof of insurance, perceiving color differences, ability to wear personal protective equipment, and strenuous physical activity.
