Job Summary: Under general supervision, the Business Operations Analyst will analyze logistics data and business processes identifying efficiency and productivity opportunities throughout the company. Using analytical methods, the analyst will focus on the internal and external methods of delivery, inventory, and profitability. The analyst is expected to use their skills in database management and spreadsheet analysis to help the business increase cash flows, inventory turns, and employee productivity. Typically requires a bachelor's degree and minimum 1-2 years' related experience.
Essential Functions:
  • Helps develop strategic initiatives aimed at reducing capital expenditures through more efficient use of existing assets and inventory.
  • Evaluates profitability, identifies trends, and creates targets.
  • Uses analytical methods to recommend pre-delivery locations.
  • Reviews delivery forecasts and sales reports.
  • Evaluates performance in sales and costs to identify break-even point at each location.
  • Offers suggestions for improvement regarding cylinder needs and inventory flow.
  • Prepares return on investment schedules.
  • Prepares and presents status reports and measurements for monitoring of business processes in the company.
  • Develops, implements, and oversees the utilization of standard tools, methodologies and project management procedures.
Experience:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering, Production Operations Management, Supply Chain or related field.
  • 1-2 years or more of working experience in manufacturing, distribution, and/or related industrial process improvement environment.
  • Must have excellent critical thinking skills.
  • Strong analytical skills including development of trend reports.
  • Strong computer skills using quantitative software and solid experience working with Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Solid Project Management skills.
  • Excellent oral and written communication/interpersonal skills.
  • Good understanding of accounting/finance principles a plus.
