Please note: The Business Development Executive will ideally be located in the New York or Pennsylvania area.
Ferrellgas is seeking a Business Development Executive to take a leadership role in identifying and contacting potential sellers with the goal of procuring profitable new acquisitions and serve as the point of contact for sellers going through the valuation process in the Northeastern territory of the United States.

Essential Functions:
  • Builds, strengthens, and maintains relationships with key members of the propane industry
  • Develops sourcing resources and utilizes industry relationships to identify potential sellers
  • Develop leads and makes calls (can be cold calls) on prospective sellers
  • Makes value-based presentations to prospective sellers
  • Serves as the official point of contact for sellers going through the valuation process with the company
  • Participates in company acquisitions and growth activities, including conducting evaluations and negotiations in accordance with corporate objectives and plans throughout the United States
  • Responsible for securing key financial and relevant business information to submit for analysis
  • Presents a visible presence at industry events and conferences to demonstrate and promote the company interest in industry acquisitions
Experience:
  • Experience working with propane marketers
  • Bachelors degree in related field
  • 5+ years related work experience in mergers and acquisitions , a plus
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
  • Significant experience interpreting financial statements
  • Strong project management skills and significant experience leading acquisition teams
  • Approximately 50% travel, including overnight stays
